'Wise Latinas' feeling their oats

Check out Auster's consecutive articles on the subject, here and here. (Note: I've embedded the links to the articles in the order they were posted at VFR)

Call me obsessed, but isn't that again more a female/feminist than a race this race that issue?

Can you imagine a Latino man saying something quite that moronic, roping even his little son in and looking QUITE that simpering in the process?

Can you imagine ANY man encouraging his young son to be such a self-absorbed little ninny?

"He cocked his head slightly and then quickly said, "I am a Wise Latino."

Eleven years old, and this is the vision he already has of himself. It's a pretty wonderful thing to watch that certain something blossom in a boy ... one of those often fleeting moments when a boy owns his own power."

Ouch!

AM I obsessed?

Actually, Nora, I was kind of thinking along the same lines. Mother Hinojosa seems like a single (dizzy-headed) mom to me. She may have a husband, but if she does he must be a worthless piece of garbage. And spineless too.

On a related topic, I haven't been keeping up with the Sotomayor confirmation hearings, mainly because I already knew that the mother of all 'wise Latinas' was a shoe-in. As I've said so many times before, there are enough RINOs in the U.S. Senate to pass anything, or confirm any nomination, that comes down the pike ... with plenty to spare for the next piece of garbage that comes along in either case. However, I did read earlier at VFR that 31 (thirty-one!) Republicans voted against Sotomayor. Which is pretty impressive as far as I'm concerned.
