Thank you for your kind words, Terry! In an age where fathers (and men generally) are increasingly marginalized, examples of good parenting are so important. (Now doesn't that sound pompous?)
As for the new header, I found the title "Roncesvalles" more and more nondescript. When I started the blog, I thought "Gates of Vienna" would be a good name, but is was already taken. Now WHO knows without looking it up first what "Roncesvalles" implies while "The Editrix" has achieved quite a bit of a reputation as a vituperating ankle-biter. Would you believe that my Technorati ranking was once in the fourtythousands when I really did a lot of blogging? I don't quite believe it myself now.
The pictures where taken in 1958, 1967, 1976, 1980, 1981, 1986, 1993, 1998, 2002 and 2006, give or take a year in some cases.
